Spanish Cypress is of course the default wood for Flamenco Guitars. You may be surprised to learn that some top Luthiers including Jose Romanillos and Richard Brune, recommend this wood for classicals because of it's unique crystalline sound. A Cypress classical can interpret the repertory in very special ways and you may wish to play a Spanish Cypress guitar when considering a new instrument.
