The Art Nouveau Rosette The Art Nouveau rosette design comes from a period from the late 19th century through the early 20th century. It was aligned with the "Belle Epoque" or "Good Time" in Europe and the American Craft movement where a spirit of positive creative energy was observed in the world of art and music. The Art Nouveau rosette is admittedly a departure from traditional mosaic designs but it offers delicate intarsia rendered in beautiful figured burls such as the Desert Ironwood Burl featured here. The long wood grain shows beautifully under the French Polish finish. |
